1. Data collected through the website

This site does not require account creation and does not use profiling or third-party cookies (see our Cookie Policy for details).

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records some technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time of access) in system logs, necessary for the operation and security of the site. This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in ensuring the security and proper functioning of the service, and is kept only for as long as strictly necessary for these purposes.

If you email us (for example at info@synapseslab.com) we process your email address and message content solely to respond to your request, on the basis of your implied consent when writing to us.

2. The DailyCheck service and GDPR

When a professional activates a DailyCheck account to monitor their own patients, clients or students, two distinct data processing relationships are established.

The professional using DailyCheck is the Data Controller for their patients' data: they decide what data to collect, for what purposes, and on what legal basis (typically the patient's informed consent, collected through the onboarding flow built into the product).

Synapses Lab, as the provider of the DailyCheck platform, acts as a Data Processor under Art. 28 GDPR, processing data solely to provide the service according to the instructions of the Controller professional. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available for download directly from the app's settings section.

Categories of data processed through the service include: patient identification and contact data (e.g. name, phone number), and responses to questionnaires, which may include health-related data (a special category of data under Art. 9 GDPR) depending on the professional sector and the questionnaires configured by the Controller.

Messages are delivered through the official WhatsApp Business API, provided by Meta Platforms, which acts as a sub-processor for message delivery. All application data is stored on servers located in the European Union and protected with end-to-end encryption.

Data is retained for the duration of the professional's subscription and for the period thereafter strictly necessary to comply with legal obligations; upon account deletion, data is erased or anonymized according to the timelines set out in the DPA.

3. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing at any time, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the competent Data Protection Authority (in Italy, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).

If you are a patient, client or student monitored through DailyCheck by a professional, you can exercise these rights by contacting that professional directly, as they are the Data Controller for your data. If you are a DailyCheck professional customer, you can exercise these rights by contacting us at the address below.
